Open Profile
The Australian has yet to deliver anything near his best at the Open Championship but remains one of the leading candidates for the title at Hoylake. Technically sound with a solid temperament, he has produced a rash of good performances in the USA over the past few months so it would be no surprise to see him improve drastically on a best of a tie for 34th in the event - which he produced at St Andrews 12 months ago. Scott will have just turned 26 when the event starts but he has been around long enough for followers of the game to expect him to start delivering at the very highest level.
