Open Profile
The Fijian was considered to be suffering a slump in form by his lofty standards having not won a title since July 2005 but that was rectified in the Barclays Classic at Westchester last month. He consolidated that effort with a tie for 6th at the US Open and will certainly entertain high hopes of collecting his fourth major title at Hoylake. Singh boasts a really consistent record in the Open Championship and will surely be on the premises again - the only doubt would be if the weather turned really nasty as his missed cuts in the event came under those conditions at Carnoustie in 1999 and Muirfield in 2002.
