Quotes
Tiger Woods (67 - 270): "I still had some golf to play but once I finished the hole all these emotions just came pouring out. I guess they have been locked up and they came pouring out. I miss my dad so much and I wish he could have been here to witness this. It would have brought a smile to his face. After my last putt I realised that my Dad's never going to see this again. I wish he could have seen this one last time."
Ernie Els (71 - 275): "I have got to be happy with that. A win would be great but maybe a top-three finish is not all that bad. I haven't been in the top 10 at majors for a while. It was great playing late over the weekend and playing decent golf. It is great news for me. It has been a long struggle for almost a year now. To play some decent golf again, especially in majors, is really a thrill so I'm looking forward to the future again. I would have loved to have a win but I had to shoot 60-nothing today."
Sergio Garcia (73 - 277): "I definitely didn't play the way I should have scored today. I felt my game was right there and I just needed a good start. I needed something like yesterday, something going the right way and getting me in the right mood instead of having two three-putts which put me on the defensive. But it was a great tournament and I take a lot of positive things out of this tournament. It is a shame but that is the way it goes sometimes."
Jim Furyk (71 - 276): "Tiger knew he needed some rounds after taking a break to get comfortable again. He certainly looked comfortable today. Chris (DiMarco) got back within one shot then Tiger gets three birdies in a row. It is tough for everyone when he does that. I am proud of the way I came back. I played well this week and got some Ryder Cup points."
Anthony Wall (69 - 280): "I felt great out there. I played very solidly and my iron shots were good. To walk up the 18th in front of all those people and to get a birdie was even better. I always felt I was good enough to play at this level. Now I feel I have the technique to push me forward. My best years are yet to come."
Adam Scott (72 - 279): "I don't think they needed to today but they had to tuck the pins this week to ensure there was no low scoring considering there was no wind. But I played well this week. I played well enough to be right up there. It was a good week and I'm happy with the way I struck the ball. I didn't feel under any pressure, I was just going for it. Tiger was three in front with the two par fives to play so I had to get to what he was at. It was good for my confidence. I'm just trying to play well every week and, without the last two holes I would have been quite close."
Phil Mickelson (70 - 283): "The pin positions were very challenging - that would be putting it nice. I didn't get the ball in the hole but the golf course played very tough. When I putt well I seem to have chances to win and I seemed to struggle on the greens this week. I learned a lot about how I'm going to prepare next year. I'm going to make a couple of adjustments but the biggest thing is I need to putt well and get the ball in the hole."
